Why do developers always make stuff in such TINY Fonts

Hi there

What is it with coders that they seem to be UNABLE to realize that not everybody can see Tiny Microscopic fonts .

Photoshop is one culprit - here's another

Remember people have larger monitors these days and THIS type of coding should be OUTLAWED

I have quite decent eyesight but have trouble looking at this on even a comparatively SMALL monitor by todays standards (24 inch). On my 60 inch I couldn't see it at all.

I'm sure some of these developers must be working with Opticians to ensure people have to wear glasses after looking at some of these screens for a while.

They are just very secretive and don't want others to pinch their ideas or code if the person looked over their sholder ha! ha!
I used to have great eyesight but after many years I now have to wear glasses or carry a magnifying glass (just for reading)

You mean the regular 10-14 font size? I have 20/20 vision and i find it easy as heck to read. I'd recommend increasing the font size, which i believe you can in settings like you could in Windows 7.. (Sorry i just got windows 8.1 two weeks ago)

Naw.... not all (actually most) programs have set font sizes that do not change with windows settings. If screen resolution is lowered, parts of lines and sometimes even selection boxes get cut down and become un-readable. Just sloppy coding I would say as others behave properly. M$ should bring back "MS Certified" or "Windows certified" for programs with which they had to comply with at least some standards.

It's Windows, for heaven's sake, not insurance contract.

haha!!! So make it bigger. Press control and move mouse wheel, enlarges the screen, then just reverse the wheel to make it smaller again.

Not in dialogs, you won't. Browsers, desktop, office and stuff like that yes but not if program does not have that feature.

If the problem is that the program won't change size with this setting, then complain about that instead of font sizes as it is probabily violating Windows GUI guidelines, not everyone have a super full HD jumbo screen in which big text would display properly (and I have a HORRIBLE eyesight)

My netbook for example won't accomodate some GIANT programs with which cannot be resized. Hello, Auslogics.

Jimbo makes a good point here... during our MCSD studies we are taught resizing and arranging principles - but don't recall that font sizes are addressed specifically within the resizing routine (may have changed with the new courses on offer tho')
