NERO 2014 - Expensive and doesn't handle subtitles

Hi there.

I'd advise people NOT to buy Nero 2014 for their video editing program -- While it has lots of nice features I'm amazed that it does NOT enable you to add Subtitles. It's amazing when Free programs like Handbrake do and a professional so called polished program omits this really basic feature.

I like to translate some subtitles into other languages for people. What about Hard of hearing folks too - I suppose they usually like subtitles as well. I can't understand this simple omission in otherwise a decent product.

Seems a lot of money then to pay for this type of product if all you want to do then is create your DVD with another program and simply burn the ISO -- plenty of freebies that can burn isos properly.!!

I'd recommend therefor you simply ignore buying or upgrading to Nero 2014 and find something else for your Video / Audio editing and DVD authoring.

Cheers
jimbo

Ugh, I gave up on Nero years ago not only it was a buggiest set of programs but their own codecs and file format were unbearable. Ad to that constant spying and inability to be uninstalled cleanly resulting in trashed systems afterwards.

I use Nero BurningROM for my audio cd production as its the only CD burning program I've found that will burn to multiple drives at the same time. I have a set of 5 USB connected drives that I use for audio CD production in my recording studio and can burn 5 CD's at a time.

Otherwise I don't use most of the other bloatware in Nero.

I've tried other programs such as Imgburn, CDBurnerXP and the high priced Sony CD Architect and none of these will burn to multiple drives at the same time.

The "Give Away Of the Day" is CDRWin 10. I don't know its capabilities but worth looking into since its the freebie today.

Thanks, used an older version some time ago and was not exactly satisfied, we'll see what this one looks like.

Just downloaded it myself, waiting for licence confirmation.
Edit
Not impressed with options. It may take some time but will try it first time when needed to burn something (hopefully not the house).
