I have had some bizarre computer issues over the years but this has to be one of the strangest. I just bought a Seagate 4 TB external hd, connected to my desktop via USB 3.0. When the ext hd is powered up a stock charting program I have called MetaStock will not display. The program's executable, MSWIN.exe, will be running when I check the task manager, but the program interface does not display.
Any suggestions much appreciated.
EDIT: Btw, this only happens when I start the program up. If the program is already running when I power up the hd there is no problem.
