I get WAV files from our voicemail server via email and when I launch the file attachment it takes me to the music app which tells me this is an unsupported file type.

Looks like they need some help here.

Is there any official site to report this as a bug?

The functionailty works fine on a Windows 7 phone.

Have a great day!

Hi,

You are welcome to attach a sample file directly or after compression to rar or zip, here. It would be a good idea so we are all on the same page regarding its exact format. i.e. Sample rate, bit depth, format etc...

Other than that? My advice? Install Winamp and set it as the default player for .wav files.

FYI, I had to put it in a zip file to get it uploaded as a forum message attachment.

FYI, it plays fine in Windows Media Player. Just the Metro music apps says it is an unsupported file type.

Thank you,
-Bob

File is playing well here in Winamp and Windows Media Player on Windows 8 CP.

You can visit the manufacturer of your audio device to check if you have the latest driver installed. If not, do so.

Realtek's website if you have that: Realtek
