Hello

I have installed the latest Microsoft Flight and it ask me to sign in the Game For Windows Marketplace for additionnal content. When I try to open it, I am then told that I need to install the Windows Live ID Sign In Assistant 6.5 for it to work. I click on the proposed link but when I try to run the installer, nothing happen, the setup window close by itself and I'm leave with no error message whatsoever. I have tryed both installer 32 and 64 bits (I'm running Windows 8 CP 64 bits french) with no success.

I have also tryed the compatibility option on the msi installer with no change. I was wondering if their is a solution to install this module succesfully. I have Windows Live Essentials 2011 (messenger only) installed twice but the addons dosn't appear in IE10 desktop. I'm not sure where to go from now on.

Thanks.

Sorry to bump this, but I've searched high and low.. and I still can't find a solution to getting Windows Live ID Sign-In Assistant installed on Windows 8!

I've managed to get Games For Windows Live installed (you need to have at least version 3.5.60.0 of the gfwlivesetup.exe redistributable) however the the Windows Live ID Sign-In Assistant service refuses to appear.
I've also tried installing it via wllogin_64.msi but that simply fails with compatibility issues in Win8.

I find a way to make it run at last, still issues of connectivity.

What I did:

I followed the site instructions:
Good Delicious! • How to fix Games for Windows Live on Windows 8 Pro x64

After that it still have issue, so what's next?

Install Windows Live ID sign-in assistant

Then you search for the installed Games for Windows Marketplace app on your windows 8 main screen. And again right click but this time on "open file location" where your will find your direct access for Games for Windows, and again... open the
properties for Games for Windows, and again... go to compatibility and you will notice it's not active the windows 7 compatibility (Again? God dammit!), enable it.

This worked for me. I hope this works for you everyone one of you.

Sorry for my horrible English.

I tried what you stated Woceyth but I got three buttons now instead of two showing troubleshoot and troubleshoot notes or whatever and it opened this up in notepad. IDK if this will help or not but thought I'd share. Made a account just so I can post this.
