Hi,
I want to create a new file extension named ".emsof" and associate any text editor with it like notepad++ in windows 8.1
Moreover all of these files should be searched by having filter of "*.emsof" like any other ordinary files.
Please guide me about how to do it?
Thanks.

Simple way, configure windows to show file extensions. Create a new text file, rename, change extension to emsof, confirm change. Double click or select open with, make sure check mark is set to always open that type with the selected app, select app, done. Emsof file extension will now open with the selected text editor.

I dont get the other part about searching for and filtering emsof. You can search and filter any file you want in windows regardless of extension or name. Just set the criteria. As long as there are .emsof files in the file system, they will pop up.

edit: well, it seems you posted this twice. Someone else answered on your other thread.
