    Install Office'10 HomeStudent in 7 & 8: Counted as a single lisence?

I do really wanted to try Windows 8 then I realize there are no Office Applications Suitable.

I bought Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student for 3PCs.

My family used 2 already. So, can I install it for my Windows 8 Costumer Preview x64 and use the same lisence for Windows 7.

I've been thinking of this because I install Windows 8 CP on same HDD but different partition.

Will Microsoft count my activation in Windows 8 as one lisence? Or I will use the rest of the lisence if I install it on Windows 8?

Thank you, and sorry for my bad English.

My take is that you will need another license if you install it on the other partition.

Each installation on an OS counts as one. But try it, maybe it works anyhow.

How can I check the number of lisence left on a serial of my Microsoft Office 2010?

When you bought it, was it 1PC/1 User or 3PC/Household version? There isn't really an easy way to check what licenses are available, but the installer would tell you in the early stages when you input the product key if it was no longer available.

Thanks, Ex_Brit. I didn't know that the setup will tell me that the lisence is no longer available if I already used 3 lisences. I bought the Home and Student, so it's usable up to 3 PCs.

Anyway, I'll install. I can remove Office 2010 whenever I wanted, right? And I'll be able to move the lisence to another computer instead of my Windows 8 Beta.
