[Request]Software for CPU overheat alert

Core temp and Speedfan are not nearly as comprehensive as CPUiD HW Monitor, even free one. Aida and Everest also have pretty good HW monitoring.

Don't get me started on CoreTemp. The aftermath of installing that one was a nightmare.

What is so difficult installing a 1.8 MB application?Coretemp has been residing on my tray for ages now, without a single hickup. Its fully customizable, run at startup or not, minimized or not,and its overheat protection feature, simply unique. Not that comprehensive as HWMonitor, but CoreTemp beeing a nightmare? Not in my lifetime...

Well, it hosed my system, as did speccy. Don't know if it was an interaction with Kaspersky or not. But both times I had to do a full reset of Windows.

Sorry to hear that about CoreTemp, maybe give it another try with version 1.06,it is very strange that its giving you a hard time.Try updating Framework, its the only thing CT is complaining about, when installed in older or weak systems (not calling yours old or weak!).I can understand Speccy, you can hear the mechanical drive going nuts when its launched, but hosing and having to reset the OS,is really a new one, many will agree to that.
