Metro Apps remains on the taskbar and can't maximized

Hi.. I have been having this problem for 4 days now. Ive been trying to find all solutions related to fix this problem. In the end. I have just fixed the PC SETTINGS and STORE APP. As of today all of the apps have been repaired and installed via STORE but the problem still persist. Even though they have been repaired and installed. They can't open on maximized mode. Can anyone have some possible solutions for this type of problem? Btw. I have already made this steps.

    1) Chkdsk /f /r
    2.) Reregister Store
3.) Scan for virus via ESET NOD32
4.) Almost all of the options on the thread Apps and Tiles Not Working or Responding: Fix in Windows 8
    5.) sfc /scannow
6.) Fixed problems via Advanced System Care Ultimate 7
    7.) Fixed problems via CCleaner.

Now the only problem i have is the apps can't be opened.

Hi there. Did you perform the DISM in the tutorial?

Will they go full screen by pushing Windows key + up arrow?

Hello Cuajas, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Please post a screenshot showing what you mean by the modern apps not opening in maximized mode to help clarify.

Do you mean the app won't open at all?

If the modern app is split left or right on your screen, then you should be able to drag the black border over to have the app fill the screen.

    Jason,

Since you used a registry cleaner, I can only assume that it may have toasted your registry.

It may be time to refresh Windows.

Not really, unless that registry cleaner has an undo function. It will almost certainly be quicker to do a refresh or reset than it will be to try and fix all the issues the registry cleaner did. You could spend a lot of time trying to figure it out.

In that case and since this only started 4 days ago, you could also see if doing a system restore using a restore point dated before this started may be able to sort it.
