Hello Large Brains,

I need some help. I recently installed Windows 8 Customer Preview over (not partitioned ((stupid))) Windows 7.
Everything seemed to work fine in the installation process. I did selected to KEEP my Legacy Software, Files & Settings...

THE PROBLEM is that when Win 8 opens up there is a blank screen. Charms load. Can access Search for Apps, Files, Settings. Search for Files and Settings works but NOTHING comes up for apps. I am forced just to win E myself into the old desktop and not use Metro at all.

I am on my 2nd install and has nothing changed. I did a SFC /SCAN as admin and it procuded some errors and fixed them but nothing has changed.

What do you think is the problem. I know there is a solution without having to REFRESH. That is just silly.

Please Help my friends,
gie :)

.Net Framework 4.5 is part of Windows 8 and as such, can be installed/uninstalled using "Turn Windows features on or off".

I am also unable to open Metro apps (ie, Remote desktop client) and my user account is not able to even see the basic Metro apps like Weather.

This is incorrect i believe. Through Windows Features, .Net Framework 4.5 can only be DISABLED/ENABLED...not uninstalled/installed. That is the problem i am having now. I am trying to uninstall my current .Net Framework but having trouble doing this.

I am having trouble manually removing .Net Framework. I have gone through as many steps as i can (need permission from Trusted Installer to remove other things) When i download .Net Framwork 4.5 Beta and try to install it says there is no need to install because it is already apart of this operating system.
Also I can only find .Net Framework 4.0 files...nothing that seems to be named 4.5. Im not so smart...hehe...HELP :(

Thanks
