HTC SYNC used to work on my laptop with Win 8. Recently upgraded to Win 8.1. Can't get SYNC to work, even if I put it a Win 8 compatibility mode. Any thoughts.

After repeated downloads of SYNC, I come to find that there are no drivers, even though my Program list shows the drivers listed. Any know how to get the drivers?

According to tech support at HTC, HTC SYNC does not work with Win 8.1, and HTC SYNC Manager does not work with my HTC Inspire phone. Now I have to buy a new phone so I can sync with Outlook 2013.
