Way to play non metro apps through "play"

Hi Guys, new here so if this is in the wrong place, please forgive me.

I've got a windows 8.1 tablet (Asus VivoTab Smart)
And am wanting to play music from it to my Xbox One using spotify
However at the moment there is not a spotify app (there is spotlight but its pretty bad)
My device is running the full windows 8.1 so i have the actual spotify program installed and can play music from it on my tablet, but can't seem to stream it to devices, and recieve the error message "you can only play from apps"
Is there any workaround to this so i can play to devices from a windows application or even a way of linking my spotify to an app or am i out of luck?

    Thanks
    Dan

    kxdan hi, Welcome!
I like Windows media center for streaming movies and music to my xbox, apparently its available for windows tablets. probably cost you though. It costs for the PC as an extra.

its all I have for you, sorry its not spotify specific.

Sorry mate I didnt see you come back. There is an Unofficial plugin available yes apparently.

Search for Windows media center on this page

Scroll down and you will find a link to this add-on. please read up on it all though, make sure its still compatible.

Hello, Does Windows Media Player (not Windows Media Center) play DVDs with "Windows 8 Media Center Pack" installed on Windows 8.1 Pro update 1? Many thanks
Hi Some time ago I purchased a samsung bluray player. The main reason was to get a 24fps capable netflix client, but it was also partly to get a media renderer compatible with Windows 8 (and 8.1) Play To/Play functionality. While the "Play" functionality works in internet explorer (videos...
