text at bottom of Start that says, "13 new apps installed"

How do I remove (from the start screen) the text at the bottom that says, on mine "13 new apps insalled". I have opened them up, that way I was hoping it would go away, but it wont. This happened when I installed the Windows 8.1 update 1, yesterday.


Here is a picture of it : (look at the bottom)

Ps. If there is a solution to never show this I would be grateful for all the help I could get. It also says "new" at the right side of every app. I rather not have it like this at all. I know what new apps I have installed already.

    I also have a Mac mini (late 2012) and a iMac 27" (mid 2010) a couple of iPhones and iPods ;) and a Samsung laptop 13" thats running Windows 8.1
not sure why but mine showed none ,so I installed a app just to check ,and it showed 2 new apps, so I go into all apps and see one app showing new ,I open it and close it and go back to start and it shows none again ,so maybe if you open all of them from the all app screen ,it will stop showing them ,I will also look around for a setting to not show them

Thank you the first 5 times I opened up all these "new apps" that was installed, it did not work. But at the 6th time they are finally gone. Not so plesent to do this everytime I install a new program is it? :/ Would be great to find a solution to disable this. I was thinking about it for a minute and shouldnt it be something to disable and enable within gpedit.msc ? Question is where :p I am a totally newbie to windows (mac user) and its not easy with Windows 8.1 ( thats my opinion, but I am learning and want to learn)

iam sure they will stop eventually calling them new app ,mine does ,not sure about a gpedit.msc solution, its not my expertise ,maybe think about something else and it will go away or at least go unnoticed ,lol

It will time out eventually all on its own. I don't know how long that takes though. I just ignore it.

Too bad that Group Policy wont help. Yea, I guess I will have to ignore it then. :( But its bothering me as it does not look very good.
