How do I make a back-up copy of software on 8.1

I want to make a backup copy of SUPERAntiSpyware on a dvd. I can only get the download as there is no longer the option to get a backup disk. How do I get a dvd backup copy from the download - can anyone tell me please.

    Hello Nougart,

You should be able to just copy the installation file to where you like as a backup.

    Hi Brink,
Just couldn't do it on XP desktop but just copied it from my program file on my laptop. Thanks.

That's not going to work to be able to reinstall the program with. You'll need the actual installation file for the program instead.

Your question is a little vague. If you made a legitimate purchase, you would of been given an activation key of some kind? Surely you can download it from the site and use the provided key?

I have paid for the download and have a licence key. I wanted to purchase a backup disk when I purchased the dowload. but was advised I had to make my own back-up disk. The download is running and if I download it from the site again I get this message: Uninstall Required - An existing version of this application must be uninstalled prior to reinstalling. Would you like to uninstall the existing version now. Ok or cancel.

I do not want to uninstall the existing version I just want to make a back-up copy. The personal download link is only available for 30 days - and if I want\need to re-install the software after 30 days I need to have a back-up copy. .

Hmm I thought that I had made a back-up copy onto a flash drive from my program file.

Theres a download page, download it and use the key? I don't get the problem. Is your version not available on that page?

If they are advising you to make your own backups, there has to be a setting to get started within the program. Check all the Menu items including 'Help'.

All you need is the original .exe file.

If you deleted it, just redownload it & put it on a usb drive.
