Thanks for the heads up! I have the program set to check for updates automatically, so I will look for it the next time I start Macrium up.

I updated and did a backup. When I do a backup I always click where it says "Create an image of the partitions required to back up and restore Windows." My last backup was 19 GB and change. I didn't download anything large like BluRay images or anything of that nature. But the image I made with this latest release is 30 GB. Something is weird.

I've made two backups using MR recently, one before, and one after, this recent update -- and the more recent backup is actually SMALLER than the earlier one. But then, I always do a disk cleanup prior to each backup. It's surprising sometimes, how much this cleanup removes.

I think it did something like copy the restore partition that it didn't do before. Before it just backed up C:

Plus the backup took like 10 or 15 minutes longer.

Edit: Yeah, that's it. I brought it up and checked the same option. Now it's including the Recovery Partition. It wasn't selecting that earlier.

Strange.

Isn't that cheating reading those?

I had to do that, because I don't use it, I use Acronis backup.
