Solved Change location in weather app.

My weather app keeps telling me the conditions & forecast for Helena, Montana. I am sure it is a wonderful place, and I am thrilled to know it is now 32 degrees F outside, however I live in New Jersey. I cannot find a "change location" function in its settings. Where does the weather app get its location info from, and how can I correct it? Thanks!

Right-click and setting should show up on the top. Click on places and add the new location.

I couldn't get the weather app working for me. it just says that it cant connect to internet. so I got Accuweather and Elements Weather Forecast from the store and both work fine for me...

once you add your correct location, you can also make it the default location and delete the previous default location. mine was off as well (though, only by about 20 miles).

Open the Charm bar, go to settings, again click on settings and change the units from F to C.

thanks, second day on this prevail, did some google, did some searching, finally realise the right lower end present differently under different environment.

I cannot find any option to change the default location.

I'm on my phone, so I can't see. Right or left click empty space in app. My locations should appear.

im running windows 8 pro but clearly i cannot find any type of that guide you say ...

Hello 8Franz. Open the Weather app -> Charms bar (right) -> Settings -> Help.

to access the options:
- with a touch screen, swipe from the top or bottom edge of the screen (from the top edge, swipe down; from the bottom edge, swipe up)
- with a mouse, right-click

Thanks people! After two months I finally found this tread and thus the way to change the location.

Woohoo ! Now I can get my local weather.
