Program Doesn't Launch With Task Scheduler

I've set everything right, but the program still doesn't run at startup.

    Hello Junior,

    Does the program run elevated?

If so, then that's why it will not run at startup. By default, Windows will not run elevated programs at startup for security reasons.

In this case, you could use the tutorial below as a workaround to create an elevated shortcut, then place the elevated shortcut in your Startup program to have it run elevated at startup without getting a UAC prompt.

    Hope this helps,

I'm not sure if that's the problem, I have UAC disabled. It ran fine when I used Windows 7.

When I disable Fast Startup the program runs fine, but my computer takes longer to start.

It wouldn't matter if UAC is enabled or disabled.

As a test, give the method in the tutorial a try with fast startup turned on to see how it goes.

Hey guys, sorry to start my first post with a question, but I've looked and don't see the answer anywhere. I'll try and be as concise as I can be. Installed speedfan, set it up and all works good. Put a link to it into the startup folder so the program would auto run at startup. This...

Hi! Shirley this must be simple! If I type "notepad.exe" into a command window and hit return, notepad appears. If I schedule "notepad.exe" to run in Windows Task Scheduler, when triggered, it runs in the background. Why? How can I make it appear? Using task Scheduler. Simply. Win 8.1 Update1,...
