TeamViewer problem with 2nd monitor

When I use TeamViewer for remote access to a Sony laptop running Windows 8, it works fine as long as I don't try to switch to the second monitor. Once I do try to access that monitor, the TeamViewer window goes black, and I cannot switch back to the first monitor, I have to close TeamViewer and start over again. The second monitor is connected via HDMI.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Could try this method:

- Connect to other PC
- Select monitor 1
- Exit fullscreen mode
- Check that "Pop out monitors as individual windows" is on
- Select monitor 2

Wish the only computer I had teamviewer on had two monitors so i could do some more testing for you.

Cheers,
Harry

Not full screen and pop out as individual windows is the mode it was already in. I tried going to full screen just now, did not help. Also tried unchecking Pop out, did not help.

I also tried Show All Monitors, it locks up there too. It seems like when I try any setting that will show the second monitor, that my local computer is not able to handle it, it seems to lock up the application at this end. The Teamviewer toolbar dropdown arrows become unresponsive, the TeamViewer window flashes intermittantly, and it becomes difficult to even shut down the application, clicking the red x may not work until I click a few times. I have to wonder if it is because the second monitor is HDMI connected.
