You would need to reinstall the Recovery Partition first.

The laptop owners manual will tell you what it does and how to use it.

Someone I help bought a Lenovo laptap yesterday and called me for help last night.
The first thing I tried to do is create a Recovery disc (DVD) set.
I don't think a DVD Recovery set can be created with the Lenovo OneKey Recovery System.
I did get a System Backup Image created on an External Hard Drive.
I could not select a DVD burner or USB Flash drive as the destination for the System Backup Image of C.
I didn't see where it's possible to create a Bootable Rescue CD.
So I don't see how it's possible to recover the system if the HD crashes.

I'm going to install Macrium Reflect free for system backups.
The screen print in Post #1 doesn't show the hidden partitions.
You need to look in Disk Management to see hidden (no drive letter) partitions.
I don't think the Lenovo partition is the recovery partition.
I'm attaching a screen print of the Lenovo laptop disk management - notice the hidden recovery partitions.

Probably wise to use 3rd party imaging program.

I was on this PC again and did get Macrium installed and created a Backup Image.

I was surprised to not find a way to create a Recovery disc set !
Did I miss something, or are new PCs (Lenovo Win 8) not including a utility to create a recovery disc set ?

" In Windows 8 systems such as the Lenovo G500, there's no option to create a recovery disc, but you will be able to create a recovery drive to restore the OS in an event of a crash. See this link: "

My ASUS Laptop was like that. You had use the Recovery utility in control panel to create a recovery drive. You also had to make sure to check the box for "copy the factory recovery partition from the PC to the recovery drive". They had a recovery disk set utility but it didn't work in Windows 8.
