Solved the stub received bad data w8.1

the stub received bad data
it only happens now and then and "maybe" only with windows apps like on screen keyboard and task manager etc

Okay, open Autoruns as Admin (right click). Then right click and select delete for all entries listed in Yellow.

Next, uninstall RocketDock it's installed to the wrong drive.

Okay, open Autoruns as Admin (right click). Then right click and select delete for all entries listed in Yellow.

Next, uninstall RocketDock it's installed to the wrong drive.

RocketDock d:\program files (x86)\rocketdock\rocketdock.exe 9/2/2007 9:58 PM

1 > rocketdock is installed there because i installed it there but if it is a problem i could reinstall it somewhere else
2 > i right clicked it doesn't have any option like that
3 > could i use CCleaner?

i used ccleaner only few of them went and i am using the app not the file i saved
everytime i right click it select whatever is beside it

i deleted them but i didn't uninstall rocketdock as i want to experiment if thats the sole problem
but how do i check that the problem is fixed?

If you restart your computer that should indicate whether the problem still exists.
but it only occurs now and then and not on start up

Good find there above, but if that's not it, gut feeling says malware.

Obviously, the only way to test if it is Rocketdock is to uninstall then reboot as said above.

Well to be clear I'll explain why I believe that RocketDock is at fault.

The folder Program Files(x86) will only be on the D drive if you have another Operating System installed there.

i think you got the wrong idea i mean i choose to install it there in that location while installing
[DEL]anyway i restarted and that thingy did not pop up till now when opening things like task manager or RUn or any video file[/DEL]
its back i will reinstall rocketdock and report back
