Windows 8 Tile Screen icons issues

I am running Win8.1 I am not sure why this is happening but on my Tile screens the icons all dissappeared, and now rectangles.

I am looking for a solution to fix.

Hello AXSCS, and welcome to Eight Forums.

You might see if running a sfc /scannow command may help if it's a corrupted or modified system file at fault.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - Run in Windows 8

    Hope this helps for now,
    Shawn

That's ok for now. Go ahead and start with the items in the blue note box under step 3 in OPTION TWO of the same tutorial above to see if it may allow SFC to repair the files afterwards.

    I know.
    It's a good thread though.

Another guy I suggested it to used the batch file tutorial.
I know because his screen shot matched it.

His problems seem to be fixed as of now.

    No more posts from him.
