Switch between desktop and modern Ui apps in Windows 8.1
Hi, I wanted to know if is it possible to switch between modern ui (as it is by default) and desktop apps, all in the same left pane in Windows 8.1?

Thanks! I mean by default if you go to the upper left corner Windows let you switch between modern ui apps and treat the dektop as an app too. I would like to have desktop apps too to switch between, like word or Windows mediaplayer.

OK. I see what you mean. The Modern/Metro UI bar that slides out to show what's open is only for Modern/Metro Store apps and as you know the desktop when open. Open Win32 Desktop programs are only shown in the Desktop taskbar. They won’t show in the slide out menu.
The only thing I know to use is the Alt/Tab key combo to switch between any app or program both Desktop or Store app.
