Unfortunately, I rushed and let wordpad open all my .htaccess files, now I don't have the extension to see them and I can't seem to restore them.

I tried to remove the extension from the registry ROOT, but it did nothing and I still have the icon and no .HTACCESS extension.

Can you guys help me?

Using Win 8.1

Thanks

Somewhere around is Shawn -Brink-, I tried: Unassociate File Type using "Unassociate File Types" Program, but that one doesn't run in Win 8.

Now, I think I solved it with FileTypesMan.

FileTypesMan - Alternative to 'File Types' manager of Windows

Also thanks David Bailey :)

I opened it with Win7 compatibility, searched for the .htaccess and instead of deleting the extension I edited the program and removed it, and to show the extension I selected the option to always show extension on this kind of file.
