Hi Everyone,

Happy New Year.

I have build my Windows 8.1 machine recently. And I have installed multiple applications such as Adobe Acrobat Readers, and MS Office on it.

I have a strange problem happening when I restarted my PC this morning. All application that I installed have completely disappeared. I cant even find them in Control Panel under Programs and Application.

The computer instead of asking me to login using my live account, asked me to login as local user this morning, and when I login again using Live Account, ALL installed APPS are gone and machine went back to out-of-box stage

:(

Hello Nelson, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Did you get a "User profile failed to sign in" type error message?

For now, you might see if you may be able to do a system restore at boot using a restore point dated before this issue happened to hopefully undo and fix it.

Hope this helps for now, :)
Shawn

Hello Brink,

Yes, "User profile failed to sign in" actually happened, as I attempted about5-6 failed password input (I didn't realise that it wanted my Live Account password)

I didn't know that it will wipe my computer though!

Cheers,
Nelson

No worries.

See if doing the system restore at boot may be able to help first. :)
