Windows 8.1 Market, an app was unistalled but still shown.

    Hello everyone,
Just installed a fresh copy of windows 8.1 Pro, and i am quite thankfull and i like it a lot. Faster, smoother more practical. However, i just made a new account (microsoft) and i installed this one app. I did not like it very much so i unistalled. However, when i log in at my market and browse to my apps, under the Apps installed in device Sotxxxxx it shows that very app there, saying at the bottom "Not installed". What can i do? This app is also shown under Apps not installed in this device. I was thinking about deleting the current account, as i use diffirent e-mail provider and create it again with same username. Is this possible? Any help and i would be gratefull.

Hello sotostzam, and welcome to Eight Forums.

That would be the Your Apps feature in the Store that lists all apps that you have ever installed from the Store. It's suppose to help make it easier to reinstall apps that you have installed before by making them easier to find say after having to do a clean install of Windows.

However, there currently isn't an option available to remove unwanted listed apps in Your Apps. The only way would be to close that Microsoft account, and create a new one with a new email address to start completely over.

Thanks for the answer first of all. The real problem for this one that i have, (i want to have my laptop under perfect condition, it is just me :P ), is that if i go into Apps INSTALLED in device blablabla it shows that app (which is already unistalled). So this app is shown under both INSTALLED and NOT INSTALLED apps. I thought it could be a matter of bug i dont really know.

The "Installed" options will list all apps that had ever been installed on the selected PC.

The "Not Installed" option will only list apps that had ever been installed on the selected PC, but not currently installed on the PC. Currently installed apps on the PC will not be listed.

    You're most welcome.

I agree that it would be nice to be able to remove apps from being listed in "Your Apps" though.
