Solved How do you play videos consecutively in Windows?

I am using Windows 8 software and want to be able to play a series of videos in a folder consecutively, so they start automatically one after the other. However I have not seen this capability in the standard Windows 8 or Office software.

I have tried to figure this out and looked for forums discussing this, but no luck.

Could anyone let me know how you do this, or recommend another piece of software which can do this,

If the videos are mpeg or another format that WMP can play, highlight them and select the following:



VLC player is also very good software.

Any player that uses playlists and can play the video formats should be fine.

If they are in a folder right click the folder and select "Play in Windows Media Player". Windows media player will then play all the videos in that folder one at a time in alphabetical order. Or as mentioned, make a play list.

If your looking for a modern or Windows 8.1 application that not only plays multiple videos consecutively, but let's you save them as a playlist and be able to select the playlist to play again then I've found only one application that does that - Multimedia 8.

Windows Media Player will do that.

Yes Windows Media Player does do that. That ability been around for long time in Media Player and I would be surprised if you didn't know that. What I was giving was an option for a MODERN or Windows 8 application if someone was looking for one. But nothing wrong with old technology if that what you want to use.

It was your "I've found only one application that does that" comment that prompted my reply. I'm old school so application doesn't necessarily mean Modern UI app only to me. I get what you were saying now.
