Xbox. Grrrr!

I have most of my music squirreled away on itunes, with which I'm perfectly happy. Since installing win8, however, MS keeps directing me towards xbox (which I don't like at all) when I try to add more music. With a little help from my friends I've now managed to get round that. Hurrah!

I'm told, however, that it would be inadvisable/impossible to try to send the deeply irritating xbox into hyperspace, because "It's built in". Is that true, folks?
