    Hi there
Mine only had the .EXE file which was a self extracting install file.

However I downloaded the previous version (7.8) which has the application in it in a .zip file.

    Strange !!!

    Cheers

How can that be. Even my bootable Linux Fedora on a stick uses 4.6GB.

Am using Home edition 8.1.1. This > Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way made a fine bootable usb stick out of this > http://www.partitionwizard.com/download/pwhe7.iso

Works great. And yes, it's only 48MB.

Edit: to make things clear, the above is for booting into Partition Wizard only, to do work on the disk(s).

That doesn't look like pe to me. It must be the linux .iso on usb.

The difficulty with Partition Wiz and pe is that Partition Wiz is 32 bit coded. It will not run in 64 bit pe. (unlees you are one of the few very good pe builders) ,

If you are running 64 bit os, the only way to get Partition Wiz to work in pe is to d/l 32 bit pe of some kind and chuck Partition Wiz into it.

If you are running 32 bit 7/8/8.1, it is very easy and no extra download needed.

As far as I know, the only free partition manager in native 64 bit is Partition Guru. It is very good, though the free version has some limitations, and is a bit complicated for beginners. You can throw it into 64 bit pe pretty much as is.

It's a boot medium not a system image.
