Replace Mail App with Outlook 365

Greetings,

I'm running Windows 8.1 and I've subscribed to Office 365.

I'm really liking the Windows 8.1 Modern UI since Pulse, Facebook, and now Flipboard are now available in the Windows App Store.

The one thing I haven't figured out yet is how to replace the built-in Mail app with Windows 8.1 and use Outlook as the default mail client when I'm attempting to share web URLs within these apps.

For example, when using Pulse and viewing an article, you have the option to send a link to the article via email by clicking on the envelope icon. Clicking on the envelope icon brings up the Windows 8.1 Share side menu from the right. While there are options for sharing the Pulse news article on Facebook, your reading list, etc. there doesn't appear to be an option to send the link as part of an email message in Outlook. Prior to me uninstalling the built-in Windows 8.1 mail client, there was an option to send it as a mail message using the built-in client but not one for Outlook.

This is what I've done so far:

1.) Uninstalled the built-in Mail client. (When you uninstall the built-in Mail client you also loose the Calendar and People apps as well.)

2.) Installed Outlook as part of the subscription to Office 365.

3.) Went into Control Panels and selected Outlook as the default mail client in Default Programs / Set Your Default Program.

4.) Went into Control Panels and selected Outlook as the default protocol for MAILTO in Default Programs / Associate a file type or protocol with a program.

Any suggestions on what to do?

I can't even figure out how to re-install the built-in Mail client, Calendar, and People modern UI apps at this point.

Thanks!

Derrick
