Am having real problems with my documents as every time I open Office it wants me to open a doc in that wretched Skydrive. So can someone please tell me how to get rid of it once and for all before I revert back to 7.
You can't- Skydrive is built right into the OS. But you CAN go into the Skydrive Settings in PC Settings and tell it not to save Docs to Skydrive, which is how it is set by default.
Office 13? Just tell Skydrive not to save Docs to Skydrive from Office. I'll try to find the exact location of the setting, if you go into "Skydrive" in PC Settings you will find it if you look around.

Recently lost my Windows 8 on my main PC, had to go back to Windows 7.
Actually on that machine I ma still using 2007 as it serves what I want and I have an option now to disable it as I don't like or trust this sort of stuff. It is just another thing to be hacked and my data I want on dedicated drives where I know it probably is going to be a bit safer if not a lot.
