.NET Framework 3.5 Error Hlp plz

I am getting this error while installing .NET Framework 3.5 "0x800736cc - a component's file does not match the verification information present in the component manifest" Plz kindly hlp me to fix this out

Are you trying to enable dotnet 3.5 from "Add / Remove Windows Features" in Control Panel ?

I tried both @ vrosa "Add / Remove Windows Features" and also 235 offline installer from desktop.

Same error over here. I am trying to get TurboTax back on my PC w/ Windows 8 but the setup keeps asking for 3.5 SP1. When I go to Control Panel/Programs to turn on NET Framework 3.5 it attempts to download via Windows Update and then gives error that it doesn't match the manifest.

When I called Intuit of course they laughed at me for running a beta OS and that was that.

Yes, you are right, net framework 4 already included in win8.

Try installing MSXML Core Services...that helped me install Chrome on Windows Server 2012 (and I had the same error installing .NET 3.5 + I suspect any .msi installer)...word of warning, I installed Chrome successfully later, but during the same session my OS crashed and I've been trying to repair it since now (there might be some other specific MSXML Core Services other than 4.0SP3 needed for Win8/2012)
