8.1 issues

Hi again, ever since upgrading to 8.1 I am unable to use the mail app, the store app and most metro apps. when I open one of them the immediately get stuck and eventually crash.
Another issue I found is that the brightness adjuster wont work no more.

Another member with the same issue was able to sort it by updating their video drivers.

no, I updated the drivers and it made it worse, I think I'll just downgrade to 8 or just completely reinstall my PC because I'm having all sorts of issues lately.
