Dear Forum!
I hope that i am posting in the right part of this forum, and if i am not, then i am truly sorry.
I am getting quite frustrated with my win 8 because of problems installing new programs. I have tried installing a lot of programs, and indeed some of them have worked, but for the most part not.
Here is three examples of programs that didn't work:

visual studio express 2012 for windows desktop

fault: microsoft visual studio express 2012 for windows desktop, fatal error during installation

windows software development kit user cancelled installation

Vegas pro 9.0
The installer has insufficient privileges to acces this directory C:/programdata/microsoft/windows/startmenu/programs/sony/vegas pro 9.0
The installation cannot continue. log on as administrator or contact your system administrator.

Office 365 student
I dont quite remember what it wrote, but i remember it always stuck at 84 %

Furthermore all this has been done while i'm on the administrator account on my computer (i am the only account on it) and i have rightclicked and said "run as administrator".
I don't understand why the installation wont work, so if one of you could enlighten me, i would be very grateful.
Should the description be void of some kind of information, dont hesitate to ask!

Try right-clicking the installer and selecting "run as admin" and see if the Vegas Pro installs.

I know you already tried running as admin, but the following tip might have more effect.
You can try installing the programs as your hidden admin user.

Every computer comes with a hidden admin account, So you must have one to. Here's how you enable it:

First go to computer management. Right click the start button (left bottom corner) and select computer management.
When youre there open the subfolder lockal users and groups under system tools. Then open Users and you get a small list of users. It should contain an Admin account. Right click it and open the properties of the account. You get a small window with some checkbox options. Uncheck the box "Account is disabled".

Now open start screen and select your profile picture (right upper corner). The popup menu should contain an admin account.
Try logging in (if it asks for a password just press enter) and install your programs for that account. When youre running the wizard of the program try selecting install for users. Logging in on the new admin account might take a while because it might not have been configured yet.

Hope it works, good luck :)

I tried enabling this secret and tried visual studio and vegas with this hidden admin acc. but still had the exact same problems.
But thanks anyway! :)
