    Can't Install ANYTHING. Whatsoever.

I've tried installing like 3 things today because I just got my computer started back up.

In the process of a virus scan with Windows Defender, but I can't install anything, and I don't want to be bored during a full scan.

I get an error telling me that I can't create anything in my temp folder, so what I did was went to %appdata%/Local/ and there was nothing except a temp folder. This looks really, really horrific. Temp was empty as well. How do I get anything back there, and be able to install my stuff?

It's very annoying and to be honest I feel like whipping my computer out the window

    Have you tried running sfc /scannow & Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth commands ?

Dont know if it makes any sence but you can try browsing to C:\Users\"Type your User here"\AppData\Local
And try creating a Temp folder there. Maybe programs will get the idea and create their .tmp's there...
    Just a small idea

I've tried, but there's a temp folder already. The problem is, things just don't go in it and stay there.

I've had this problem for a couple of months now and decided that it was bugging me to the point that I had to do something about it. I bought the ASUS laptop with Windows 8 already installed so I didn't have to do much other than update the OS. Before the update, everything was working well. Then...
So I have a removable SSD so that I could install O/S to suit. I installed Windows 8.1 Pro on it and had 2 3GB data drives attached. Hi, I am trying to install the W8 CP using the tutorial provided on W7F. Instead of the install.wim file, install.esd is present. I attempted to use imagex on that file, but it did not work. Is there another way to install it fast?
