According to Microsoft, if your PC's clock isn't set correctly, it can cause errors in some apps. One of the issues listed from this is what you are currently experiencing. You can follow these steps to set the clock correctly.

    To set the clock:
    1. On the Start screen, enter Date, tap or click Settings, and then tap or click Set the time and date.
    2. On the Internet Time tab, tap or click Change settings.
    3. Check the Synchronize with an Internet time server checkbox and then tap or click Update now.

*Note* If your PC isn't connected to the Internet or your PC is set to Airplane Mode the synchronization will fail. Make sure that you're connected to the Internet and that your PC isn't in Airplane Mode. When the synchronization is complete, you'll receive a message indicating that the clock was successfully synchronized, the name of the Internet time server, and the date and time of the last synchronization.

    4. Once the date and time is synchronized successfully, restart the PC by swiping in from the right edge of the screen, and then tapping Settings.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Settings.)

5.Tap or click Power, and then tap or click Restart.

    Hopefully this resolves your issue!

Thanks for the reply, I've tried that and it is still the same result.
I have done a lot of research but have not found a solution, at this point, I will just have to assume that it is a hardware problem, unless there is anything else I can try.

Are you logged into the Windows 8 using a windows live account or a local account? If the issue cannot be solved through updates or any fix method, it may be a server side issue at Microsoft.

I am using a Microsoft Account, I have also "chat" with Xbox support, and they were unable to do anything and referred me to Windows Support, which costs money.

Thanks everyone for trying to help.

Sorry that your issue is still not resolved, I hope it resolves on its own and you are able to log in successfully .

At this point, I have little hope that this will be resolved, at least of my current computer. Although unlikely, I will have to assume that it is a problem with a hardware.

Thanks again everyone for trying to help. I will mark this as solved for now.

I have really solved the problem now, turns out that it has to do with my computer name. It was blank, so I changed it to something else, and it worked.

At a glance, it looks like there is no way to load local files into the libraries of the Music or Video apps, and that they are only for Microsoft store content. Does this seem to be the case to everyone else? If not... These apps seem to be pretty useless to someone, like me, who has a large...
