help on Windows crApp Store

windows 8 is one of thee most confusing Os's to date.

the crApp Store is so difficult to use, please help me clear things up;

1) it seems to me that each version of wibdows 8 has its own app store and it seemse that if I am logged in under my local account that I will get different apps then if I am logged in with my Microsoft account Is this true? if so why?.

2) I try to search for an app and can never find it, but yet, I can go to the apps website and get a direct link to the app store, click link, link to the store, and install it.
Again, Windows 8 is horrid when it comes to the App Store. why why why is it so flakey?

I have 7 different windows machines (not because I think win 8 is great, it sucks) however,
if I go to install a free app or purchased app, it forces me to unassociate one of my systems, even if that app is not used on the machine. This is so *ffing confusing. Why is it set up like this. If it is free I should be able to use it anywhere on any machine and not even be associated.

I also hate when it shows free apps as purchased apps when they are not indeed not purchases. grrr,

3) Also, is there a way I can just view my Microsoft account to see what purchases or registered items I have made?
with regards to purchased upgrades, purchased apps, or items I have currently registered with them?
If not then why can't I?

any other business Acer, Newegg, Amazon, etc. can provide transactions histories, why can't Microsoft?

Windows 8 price is not worth the functions Microsoft integrated into Windows 8.

For seeing some apps you can try change the store country/zone to US/UK.
(Also look at store preferences to make it easier to find apps)
For using Microsoft account on Store, WIN+C > SETTINGS > ACCOUNT. Configure at your own.

Also 7 different windows machines? What do you mean by 7 different windows machines, and how come the windows knows about those machines? are they separately from your PC or they part of it?

We have 7 machines on our home network (4 win8 & 3 win7) , but using Teamviewer I also have 5 other individuals/couples that I assist and we have different functions we do together, 3 of them have windows 8 and several of my purchased apps I share with them...

My understanding is a purchased app can be shared with 5 different machines. Well, that is not the case it seems as as though any one Windows 8 account you have, only, allows you to share with 5 other Windows 8 machines (that is just wrong). I should be able to share with hundreds of windows 8 machines, the individual apps should only be allowed shares with 5 machines, unless I am doing something wrong.

And Again why are free apps showing up as purchased apps? My microsoft account doesn't even show the actual apps I truly purchased, nor does it show my registered versions of Windows 8 or 7, nor does it show my registration of Office 365, it is pathetic and next to useless.

The word "purchase" does not only mean to acquire or obtain by means of payment. It also means simply to obtain or acquire for one's possession. In this case download and install.

One may have "purchased" an app for free that presently have a price on them. One does not need to pay the price to download it again in case one has to. They are regarded as purchased. Nor does one need to pay the price again of a app at cost. They are also regarded as purchased and ready to download again.

Geez... Did I explain that right?

I hate it even more now, that you have given me the answers, why should I have to view a tutorial to do simple tasks?.... it is truly an abomination.... I aslo feel, the microsoft account information is totally wrong, I go to my account and it does not show me what I have purchased.

Anytime there is a major change in how an OS is used like this, there will be confusion until you learn and get comfortable with it. Have patience mate, or stick with what you love (ex: Windows 7) until ready to make the switch.

When you open the Store from your Start screen while signed in to your Microsoft account, and look at "Your apps", you should see all apps that you have installed/purchased from the Store for only that specific Microsoft account. What do you see instead?

Here in lies the rub,

Yes, one can see the apps....it comes up first on mine with 83 NOT installed however, these are garbage apps that were loaded during the install process, they are not apps I purchased with my account nor are they free apps I installed with my account, and they don't give you an option to show ONLY installed apps, and they don't give you an option to see the apps you installed if they were free or purchased. Mine shows 109 stupid apps that are mostly crap Apps.

nor does this account show, any versions of registered Windows Software I have (it should)
nor does it show any other Microsoft software I registered (example my Windows Office)

it is just stupid garbage thrown up on a screen, to make you think it is something great. This is why I HATE WINDOWS 8 because of useless menus that really don't tell you anything at all.

SORRY Windows 8 is a loser .... if they want to make us purchase items via the Store, then they had better damn well show everything .... who it was purchased from, how much, a transaction ID, date acquired and contact numbers, and machines it is currently installed on. ACCOUNTABILITY is what I want from Microsoft, and they run from it like little babies. I want real account information, just like my bank statement.

Windows 8 does not come with 83 apps from the Store installed, so you must have installed them yourself at one point. One thing you must understand is that "Your apps" in the Store will only show you a list of apps that you installed from the Store while signed in to that specific Microsoft account. Having "All apps" selected in the first drop down in "Your apps" will show you all apps installed by the Microsoft account you are currently signed into the Store with.

Any desktop programs (ex: Office) you installed will still be listed in Programs and Features (Control Panel) just like it was in previous versions of Windows.

If you would calm down and simple ask any questions you may have instead of ranting, then it'll help you faster learn more about the differences in Windows 8 to give it a fair testing.

Otherwise, I would recommend to stick with Windows 7 or whatever OS you are happy with instead. No one is forcing Windows 8 upon you.

Well, they are all Acer machines so perhaps it is all of their preloaded garbage that is displayed.
Doesn't really matter, what it really comes down to is that your Microsoft Account doesn't mean anything, it is just a tool to gather more information about you by Microsoft so they can resell it to advertisers.

Your right, I do like Windows 7 better, it is simply a superior product. Windows 8 is a gimmick Operate System, in my estimation. It's purpose is not to assist you, but rather generate revenues for Microsoft. It is the new Happy Meals of the internet.

I can not help but feel anger toward them, I can not find it in myself to give them any forgiveness. I have lost all faith in them as a company, and will continue to state my disgust. So I won't calm down and I will rant, and I will try to steer others away from Windows 8 and Microsoft. Why do you think it has failed so miserably? The only reason it sells, is because it is on every new PC machine, NOW that is a gimmick? I hope every retailer will start to offer different OS installs instead of forcing a crApp software upon us, that is called choice. Something MS doesn't wish to offer.

My fear now, is I wonder if they will start to sabotage Windows 7, trying to force people into using Windows 8.
