Is it possible to have widget support?

I miss my win 7 widgets. I use bob countdown timer and day counter. I've tried rainmeter but nothing is nice.

Is it poosible to load Win 7 gadgets back onto windows 8?

    YES --- use 8gadgetpack-- 8GadgetPack - Gadgets for Windows 8

Once you install that, you can use the gadgets provided, or you can reuse the other gadgets you already have.

I run Win8 exclusively in Desktop Mode and still use my previous Win7 gadgets.
