windows 8 trouble with snap.do

i have windows 8 on my new laptop and ive just noticed this snap.do is now being used as my search engine (occasionally its switching to another one called basic summit) ive looked in my extentions in my set pages everything ive been told on other websites i did find it in my programmes and i uninstalled it and restarted my laptop but my laptops still using this snap.do and i now dont know what to do is there anyone who can help me??????????? im using google chrome btw
any help would be greatly appreciated as this laptop is only a week or two old!!!!

Change your home page in the Google Settings. Uninstalling Snap.do from the Programs and Features does not change the home page.
