Hi there
I've got a little bit more time now so I'm trying to mess around with a bit of Visual Basic -- used to know the old GW-BASIC / IBM Basic from PC / MS DOS days !!! so I'm not starting from absolute ZERO (unlike C++ / C#).
I downloaded the Visual Studio 2013 from the ms site.
However when I load a New Visual Basic project I get a popup screen requesting a "Developers license" . I clicked agree and just closed the Microsoft sign in screen and the application continued OK. This is going to be annoying if I have to do this every time or is a "developers License" something that requires you to be a subscriber to something else.
What is "Developers License" -- I thought all the run times were distributable anyway -- otherwise there really doesn't seem to be any point in using Visual Studio.
I tried the same thing on another machine with Visual Studio 2012 and I never got any prompt -- so is Visual Studio 2013 restricted or what -- it would imply that I can't give my code away or run any Visual studio 2013 objects on different machines.
Any help here -- I'm confused --or should I just stick to Visual studio 2012.
Cheers
jimbo
