Hi all,
I just purchased a laptop yesterday that runs Windows 8. I'm generally not one that is extremely resistant to change, I was optimistic about Windows 8 and thought that maybe what they were doing was kind of cool and would be more user-friendly. After a few hours of getting somewhat familiar with the whole situation, I was frustrated, but I refused to let my frustration forever make me resent my laptop. I adapted, I'm worked on getting used to it. I thought I was going to make it.
Until, of course, I decided that I wanted to listen to Pandora while I typed up some documents. I opened Pandora in Chrome, found my radio station, and went to Microsoft Word. The second I directed away from the Chrome window, the music stopped. I was appalled. While searching online for a solution, I have only learned that if I want to listen to Pandora or run the window simultaneously, I have to sacrifice a good chunk of my screen to the Pandora/Chrome window. This is completely unacceptable, and in my aroused emotional state I'm struggling to even dream of a reason why this appears to be a remote improvement to when I was able to have two windows running at the same time in Windows 7.
Is there any wonderful program I could download or any quick/easy/not complicated way I could solve this problem? Thanks
