So I've got a little issue here with auto play and importing pictures.
The import pictures feature from windows 7 is in windows 8, but it's a bit harder to find. I can import pictures with the pictures app, but it doesn't import pictures the way I like, nor does it let me change settings (if there is a way and I'm just not finding it, let me know!). I'm a bit finicky with the way I like pictures to be imported. I like them to be imported to my folder "imported pictures" with the original file name and inside another folder named the date the picture was taken in the format "YYYY-MM-DD". This way they sort by the date they were taken.
And I can get these same settings with the windows 7 importer that is included in windows 8. My problem is, I can only use the windows 7 importer by right-clicking on my camera in explorer and clicking import pictures. Or, I made a shortcut to "%SystemRoot%\system32\rundll32.exe "%SystemDrive%\Program Files\Windows Photo Viewer\photoAcq.dll",PhotoAndVideoAcquire" which also lets me use the windows 7 style importer. And I found that online, I didn't find that myself.
Is there a way to get the picture importer to run from auto play?
