D3DOverrider and Windows 8

Hi,

I have tried to install D3D Overrider on my computer, however when i open it, the mouse icon shows as working but then nothing happens. The program won't open, however the process is there in task manager. I have tried running it in compatibility mode for windows 7 and as administrator, however that doesn't help.

I heard that you have to run the game as windows 7 compatibility mode, i have tried to see if it works given that the process is running, but so far with no luck.

What do you guys think?
I'll also take any suggestions to force triple buffering with something else.

Here are some troubleshooting tips that worked for other people, but not for me:
Close your browser and stuff like that before launching d3doverrider.

What worked for me:
Add D3DOverriderwrapper as a startup entry to windows. That will load the program just fine. And oh, to make it work with games on windows 8, don't forget you have to run the game as windows 7 compatibility mode.
