Windows 8 music app with ITunes Files

I have windows 8 installed and I also have itunes installed to play the songs from the mac part of my hard drive (SSD). However, itunes looks very out of place in the windows 8 interface so I was wondering if there was any way I could get the Windows 8 music app to recognize the ITunes music files on my mac partition.
I know that I could copy the music files onto the Windows 8 side but that would be about 15 gigs and I can't waste that kind of memory on duplicate files. So in summary, can the windows 8 music app detect music files for ITunes?

can you read the mac partition from within Windows? if you can, there shouldn't be any problem getting the music app to play the music (assuming the music is unencrypted). just right-click and select "open file" and browse to the partition. or if you have a touchscreen, swipe from the top edge or bottom edge of the screen and select "open file."
