Got a PUP on your computer?

Good morning everyone, I have had some very good advice from Eight Forums on the title and feel that I would like to add a thought of my own. After further searching I found adwcleaner, I downloaded it and after installation I ran it.
You would not believe all the stuff it found, there was a list as long as your arm of unwanted things. The list included things I thought had been removed using methods recommended by other forum members. Oh, I realise that the software is mentioned else where in the forums but a reminder about Adwcleaner is perhaps in order.
I am not a computer expert by any means and I appreciate any help offered on this site, thanks to one and all.
