Hi All,Got a brand new windows 8 laptop, loaded solidworks onto it, no go. Google tells me I must turn off UAC for solidworks to work properly on windows 8. No problem, turn UAC off, solidworks is fine. Except now the metro screen is useless, not a single program (tile? app?) works, they all require UAC enabled to operate, it seems. So what to do? Is soldiworks operable with UAC enabled, if tweaked properly? Or should I just upgrade to windows 7 and ditch windows 8 entirely? Is this going to be an ongoing problem? Is windows 8 a toy for phones, not a real operating system for work computers?Cheers,Rob
