Why there are no great 8 apps

I wanted to post this in the news forum but don't qualify to post there. It does seem to belong there so maybe someone who can post there can do it.

It's obviously (imo) written by a very intelligent person who makes a lot of good points.

That does not sound good at all. Just another nail in the RT coffin.
