Hello Astorre, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Normally when you install a program, it will automatically pin a shortcut of that program to the far right of your Start screen. You may need to scroll all the way to the right on your Start screen to see it.

If it doesn't, then you can navigate to the .exe file of the installed program, and "Pin to Start" it to have one.

Hope this helps, :)
Shawn

if you want to see a farther view of the your start screen, you can use semantic view to zoom out. that way, you can scroll through your start screen faster. it's also helpful for you to quickly move tiles from the far right of the start screen to the left of the start screen.

http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/4869-zoom-view-start-apps-screen-windows-8-a.html

with a mouse:
to zoom out, hold down the <ctrl> key and roll the scroll wheel downward.
to zoom back to normal view, hold down <ctrl> and roll the scroll wheel up.

with a touch screen or with a multitouch trackpad:
to zoom out, do a pinching motion where you bring two fingers closer to each other
to zoom in, do the motion where you spread your 2 fingers apart

you can also move groups of tiles really quickly while in semantic view. instead of dragging individual tiles to the left side, put them together in a group and drag the whole group of tiles together.

Is there any way that i don't have to go in the start screen to see the programs that I've installed? In a way that i could already see it in my desktop.

astorre,

Some programs may give you an option to create a shortcut on your desktop while installing them. If not, then you could just manually create a shortcut on your desktop from the .exe file of the installed program.

Hello astorre,

If I'm reading your concern correctly, you want to access installed programs from the desktop (without having to go back to the start menu);yes? If that is the case, I would recommend that you download and install one of the freeware or shareware programs that can restore the start button to the desktop. Her's a screenshot of what I use:

The program is called Start8 and it can be downloaded here:
Start8™ for Windows® 8 - Bringing back the Windows Start menu
The above program is free to use for 30 days and then you must pay $4.99 (I think) for a permanent license. Now, there are other free programs out there that work and are good also; however, I think this one was worth the price.

Good luck.

Also you can right click a clear spot on the Start Screen and at the bottom right click on All Apps and it will open another screen where all the programs are listed alphabetically. If you find it there, right click the tile and at the bottom it gives you a list of choices.
