Xbox Music App

I'm having a hell of a time with this app. I had a zune pass for ages (just canceled) and still use the zune software, but it's not very touch-friendly. I'm using a Samsung Series 7 Slate, so touch-friendly is very important. I don't want to have to use the stylus all the time.

The Music app is very touch friendly, but it doesn't seem to be music-friendly. It only loads around a hundred songs of the 4000 or so in my library, and then it only plays 30-second previews instead of the full song!

My libraries are set up on a microSD card, and no other apps seem to have a problem with this so I don't know if it is relevant. I know the 30-second previews are not DRM/subscription songs because I got rid of all of those.

So far I've uninstalled the app a few times and tried to refresh the library, but nothing is working. Any ideas? Or, lacking a solution, any suggestions for a touch-friendly music player?

you mentioned these 4000 songs. these are songs that were purchased via the Zune Pass and are DRM free? what exactly happens when you try to play them? are they all made into the 30-second previews? does the app close or minimize?

Yes, all the songs are DRM free and they all play just fine in the Zune player without a music pass.

The songs play for 30 seconds, then go to the next song...for 30 seconds.

Thanks for the tutorial, but I don't think that is the problem. When I ended my Zune Pass subscription, I removed or purchased any remaining Zune Pass content. My library is now DRM-free. Everything shows up and plays just fine in Zune, Windows Media Player, Winamp, etc, it just isn't showing up in the Xbox Music app and the few songs that do show up are only previews.
