    Office 2010 questions

I just recently purchased my new computer with Windows 8 preinstalled and I just installed Office 2010, when I open up a new Word document, the page is on the left side of the screen. Is this normal?

Yep, same here. I have a 23" monitor, and there's all that space over at the right that seems to be unusable.

Well, well, well, (while the page is on the left) if you look to the bottom right of the "status bar", you'll see several small icons. Print Layout, Full Screen Reading, Web Layout, Outline, and Draft. I was playing with them so I could talk intelligently about them and whoa!

I clicked on Print Layout and of course, the page was on the left. Clicked on Full Screen Reading (press ESC to go back to normal) and then on Web Layout. Clicked back on Print Layout and the page shifted to the center of the screen where I wanted it in the first place.

So, it looks like there are some more 'speriments to be done in the next few minutes.

One thing I don't like is that page 2 of a document shows up beside, rather than below page 1. It could be tied to the 23" monitor, but I'm not sure.

And now, someone with more knowledge than I needs to weigh in . . .

I have Professor Teaches Office 2010, and will open that back up for the next chapter of study, which may give me more answers.

I tried what you suggested and this does work, but when you close the document and try to open it again, the page is back on the left again. This seems like a strange problem to me. If you do come up with a solution in the future, please keep me informed.
