App Icons that go nowhere...

So I tried to install a suite but it froze only after 80% of the installation was complete. I closed the program and tried to use it. All of the programs would open but there would be certain commands that would just shut down the program. I am assuming because that part of the program was missing. Well, one of the parts of the program that was missing was Uninstall Suite. So I deleted the entire 19 GB suite from the C: drive. Now my problem is that all of the Icons for that suite in the "All Apps" menu are still there and I don't have the option to delete them. I want to reinstall the suite but it will duplicate all of those Icons if I continue.

Can anyone tell me where to go to delete those Icons? And also give me an idea of how to avoid this problem in the future. Thanks

Re-installing might over-write existing files.

Xilinx Design Suite. Its about 16 GB. They didn't overwrite the files they just duplicated the shortcut in the start menu.
